Subject: Statement from Clyde Bellecourt National AIM, regarding Occupation
This is a statement directly from the National Office of the American Indian Movement from Clyde H. Bellecourt.
The situation regarding the young Takota that was shot has been investigated and what has been learned is that he had left his post and gotten drunk. He was involved with a gang and there was some sort of altercation between this young man and a gang. He was shot in the knee. This had nothing to do with the occupation All the elders and people in the occupation are safe at this time. Any and all information coming from this man calling himself Wildhorse should be disregarded.
For more information call Office of National Aim at 612-721-3914

Chief Oliver Red Cloud, Lyman & Vanassa Red Cloud, Grass Roots Oglala state that in
addition to a young Takola being shot, that shots were being fired at the Red Cloud
Building by whom they believe is Tribal Council and their families. They said the
medial office across the street will not let the Grass Roots in, so they are in need of
medial supplies, can't even get aspirins. It is snowing now and very cold, in need
of blankets, coats, boots. A Call for Action to all Warriors
